Wilkins

Dear Wilkins friends and families,

We have had another wonderful week getting to know the new members of our class and their families. We have experienced a few tears but assure you all that they perk up throughout the day and are having lots of fun exploring their new environment and engaging in activities with their peers and teachers. If you ever have any questions or would like to see some pictures of what the children have been up to throughout the day please ask us or check the Wilkins door for our weekly picture poster.

This week the sun has been shining and we have enjoyed spending time outdoors. At the moment we have many open ended experiences set up for the children to explore in our area. In the sandpit this week we have been "filling buckets full of pancake mixture" (Billy) around our wooden stool sandpit dining tables. Isla made sure that the mixture was spooned out "even so we all get the same big pancake", and Tarika and Anwen made sure we had "strawberries and ice cream topping". Harry got on stage and played us a set on the Wilkins and Langley drum kit which sounded delightful and got everyone's attention. And George, Leonard and Christian showed us their best reenactment of dinosaurs in our dinosaur pit.

We look forward to having lots more fun next week and wish you all a lovely weekend. To those of you who haven't met Miss Ellen who is on holidays in Greece, she will return to us in the next few weeks. We are very much looking forward to having her back on board and sharing some pictures of her trip.
