Mead

Dear Mead Room families and friends,

We were very fortunate to be able to go on an excursion to see a show, ‘Emily Loves to Bounce’ at the Odeon theatre.   The production was amazing! It was a whimsical world of balls and boxes, friendship, empathy and difference.
Jack – The boxes moved and Amy went ‘AAAGGGHHH’
Jonas – Henry scared Amy away and then she looked in the box and Amy found him!
Connor – All the balls were on the floor
Alana – I liked the balls
Tom D – There were balls, and a big one
Sid – The balls, lots of blue ones.
The big bus ride was a lot of fun too...
A big thankyou to Lauren, Tanya and Edwina - we couldn't have done this without you!

We have deepened our investigation into rubbish…..
We are observing the ‘3 arrows’ EVERYWHERE!  And we are so thrilled the children are discovering the ‘3 arrows’ recycling emblem at home too.
A few times this week we have tossed all of our recycling, and general rubbish, onto the floor of the Mead Room.  The children have been absolutely horrified!  We tried to imagine what it would be like if this was to happen in the street, in our house and in our environment.
Danica – The world would be smelly
James – The world would be yucky and blah
We found a book that showed rubbish in the environment – so we were determined to sort our rubbish and make sure that only a little bit went into the ‘yucky bin’, the rest we recycled.
Zed found a tiny piece of rubbish in our outside environment – he quickly pointed it out to Mrs Prest and said, “That has to go in the bin!”, so off we went.  Then later this week he spotted another bit of rubbish, some masking tape, and alerted another teacher!!  Well done Zed!

Enjoy your weekend!
