Chapple

Dear Chapple families

As part of our literacy investigation into the sound “A”, we read the story of Noah and the Ark.
Why was it a good idea to build the boat?
Ned: Sail the seas if there was a flood
Hannah: The animals could be saved.
Zoe: Boat is handy because it could go across the sea.
What is the name of the boat?
Jasper: Cruise ship.
Why do they need two of each animal?
Lachlan: Because they might be a family.
When do you see a rainbow?
Benji: When the rain stops, the rainbow comes out.
Hannah: I have an ark and two of every animal at home. I have a Noah in my life too.
What animals could we make for our ark?
Louis: Pigs, two.
Hugo: Donkeys
Hannah: Snakes.
Christopher: Chickens.
Lachlan: Cows.
Jasper: Fox.
Ellie: Flamingo.
Ned: But not dolphins because they can swim.

The children made a great display of their favourite animals for the Ark and Hannah and Zoe felt it really needed the rainbow so made a beautiful addition.
The children became really excited by animals and the role play became a vets. Our animal puppets show has proved very popular as well.
