Cooper

Dear Cooper room families,
This week we have been very busy celebrating Book Week in the ELC. The theme for this years was “Australia! Story Country”. Most days this week the Cooper room have taken part in activities organised for this special event.
On Tuesday we had guests from all over the school to come down to the ELC to read to us their favourite books.
On Wednesday we had a performance of the the story of Three Billy Goats Gruff, which was reenacted by some of the teachers. Mrs Bishop was the narrator, Ms Garland, Mrs Rocca and Mr Charlwood were the 3 Billy Goats and Mrs Prest was the troll. The children assisted in telling the story and singing the songs throughout the performance.
On Thursday we participated in a whole ELC and Prep School reading flash mob on the top oval. Each class brought one or two books to read during the flash mob. We chose to read the story “Wombat Stew”.
On Friday we all dressed as our favourite book character for our annual Book Week parade. The costumes looked fabulous! Thank you to everyone who participated, we had so much fun showing off our wonderful outfits.
Happy Birthday to Aiden and Aaron who turned 3 this week. Thankyou for organising cupcakes for your friends in the Cooper room to help celebrate your birthdays.
We hope that you have a lovely weekend.

Love Miss Gilbert and Mr Ty
