Langley

Dear Langley families and friends,

This week the children have loved reading "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" in large and small groups. To foster the children's ability to retell the story, we recreated the book in the garden outside with images and resources to represent each part of the story. Teddy was first to spot "Bear hunt!" in the garden, but before long many of his peers joined him on his adventure through the grass, river, mud, forest, snowstorm and cave.

We were lucky enough to have some sunny mornings this week and took to chance to play outside. Lachlan, Mack and Leopold had fun feeding the dinosaurs, Abigail and Alannah were expressive with paint and Phoenix worked on his throwing and catching skills with the balls.

Also this week we have been encouraging the children to use their imaginations with box construction. They have had the opportunity to choose what they would like to make with and used glue to paste on any additions to their creations.
Sofia - "All done! I do car. Bus"
Amy - "I make this for Mum"
Grace - "Flower. Yeah, yeah"

A friendly reminder to our new families about bringing in a family photo, we have only received one!
Enjoy the weekend
