Mattingley

Dear Mattingley families and friends

It's been another fun packed week in the Mattingley room.

Our trip to the Odeon Theatre to watch The Patch Theatre company perform "Emily loves to bounce" was very well loved by our Tuesday children. The look of joy and fascination on their faces was just priceless. The show will go on until the 20th of August so if you have time to spare and score tickets, it would be a lovely family event to be a part of.

This week the Friday children were so fascinated by a big bird's nest that Oliver brought in as part of his show and tell.
"I got this with my mummy when we went to the country to visit some family. We drive in the car for a long time and we saw tractors and some sheep. we found this on the ground. I don't know which tree it came from. it's very big", Oliver shared.

This sharing sparked a discussion among the children.

We will see where the children takes this investigation in the coming days. On Thursday, we have the CFS crew some down to talk to the children about fire safety and check out a fire truck. Thank you in advance to Rebecca (Eloise's mum) for organizing this visit for us. We cant wait to hear about her years of experience in the department. We are wishing Ms Mason to get well too while she rests up at home.
 Till next week
