Wilkins

Dear Wilkins families and friends,

We made the most of the sunshine early in the week, venturing outside to explore our new outdoor kitchen set up. We were cooking up a storm with our friends creating all sorts of delicious sweet treats! We will extend on this further in the coming weeks by looking at different types of menus and discussing what foods are healthy for you and which ones are sometimes treat foods.

We have also revisited our investigation from earlier in the year around Spiny Leaf Insects. When we had them in the classroom we carefully extracted lots and lots of eggs and gave them to Mrs Rocca to look after. She has been very carefully tending to them over the past couple of months and they have finally started to hatch! We have been entrusted to look after a couple of tiny little babies and some more eggs - hopefully we will be able to hatch some more babies.

Our love of music, movement and dance have also continued this week. We have been creating our own music using musical instruments as well as engaging in our Dancify lessons.

Best wishes for the weekend. See you all next week.

Ellen, Courtenay, Chelsea and Jess
