Mead

Dear Mead Room families and friends,

This week we have continued our discussions of being responsible for our body and talking about the things we can do; by eating healthy food, using sunscreen, wearing hats, drinking water, washing our hands and getting some sleep or rest.  We have merged this inquiry with our recycling inquiry to talk about being responsible for our environment and the earth!

Harry – you make new things out of old things
Vivienne – too much rubbish would be stinky
Charlotte – use one piece of paper to dry your hands
Quinn – turn the taps off.

We have celebrated another successful Dancify incursion with a performance on Thursday.  Lots of amazing performers in the Mead Room who showed their groovy dance moves to a delighted audience.

The Mead Room children are deeply immersed in mark making.  Utilising the light table, the playdough stampers, magnetic letters, writing and drawing we are practicing, refining and enhancing our identity!

Don’t forget that Sports Day is next Thursday, 28th September. All children are welcome!!! If your child does not ordinarily attend on a Thursday please come if you would like to!  Please arrive in the classroom by 8:25am to enable us to get organised and leave for the Prep School by 8:45am.  The Health Hustle starts in the Gym at 9am sharp.

What to wear – running shoes for racing and a coloured t-shirt corresponding to their house team, please don’t buy a new t-shirt just one you already have at home!

Take care of each other,
Melissa and Georgia
