Edgerley

Dear Edgerley Parents,

This week in Edgerley we have continued to explore all the different ways in which stories can be told by viewing the final version of our Tidalik I-pad story we created collectively. Some children have also participated in percussion sessions where we have created a sounds scape to help us tell Tidaliks tale.

The warm weather arrived just in time for our outdoor Sports Day practice. We had lots of fun practicing our circle games and participating in running races. This week we have also enjoyed sifting, pouring and collecting rainbow rice in our sink. This sensory activity is very inviting, smells nice and sounds nice (all that falling rice!) but more than that it encourages us to  discuss and compare volume and size.

Our highlight this week was the Dancify Parent Showcase where we performed our thee dances, Juicy Wiggle, Uptown Funk and I’m Still Standing. We got to show our parents all our favourite dance moves. Thankyou to the lovely Erin who teaches us each year.
Looking forward to seeing all our families in their house colours at the ELC Sports Day next week

Have a lovely weekend
Mel, Emma and Chris
