Dear Wilkins Families and Friends,
What a lovely and busy week we have had in the Wilkins
room this week.
Following on from last weekend there has been lots of
talk with the children and their peers about the Adelaide 500. What a hit this
has been. We have printed some photos for the class to chat too and some
children have been busy drawing their very own race cars.
We have been very busy with the Langley class pet.
Tiny, the blue tongue lizard. What fun we have had talking about his habitat
and the different kinds of foods he might like to eat! Our Wilkins people have
even had a turn at touching his very scaly body.
Miss Kathy and our Wilkins friends have been very busy
replanting our ferns within the classroom. The children were able to put the
soil into the pot and then water the plant too. This is a good way to teach
children to become socially responsible and to show respect for their natural
environments.
‘Grandies Day’ is an annual event here at PAC. It is a
day where your child’s grandparent is invited to visit us in our very own
learning environment. There are invites in your child’s pigeon hole. If you are
unsure, please come and see one of the educators in the Wilkins room to find
out more. The event is on the Wednesday 4th of April. Please
let us know if you think you will be attending.
Another reminder - 'Splash Day' is cancelled due to
the weather.
We hope you all enjoy and have a safe long weekend. We
will see you Tuesday.
From,
Kathy, Ellen, Courtenay, Melissa and Neve
