Hi
Cooper families,
We
have continued our discussions on feelings and emotions this week. To support
develop the children’s knowledge and understanding of emotions, we have created
a table where the children could create different emotions on a blank face.
The children created happy faces, sad faces, scared faces, surprised faces and
angry faces. We then re-enacted these emotions on our own faces and spoke
about when we might feel each of these feelings.
After
3 weeks we have now completed our whole class painting. To create our artwork,
the children used water colours, acrylic paints and sponge and ink and spray
bottles. Throughout the process, we created a calm environment where the
children respected each others contributions while they worked together to
create their painting. The finished product looks amazing and it was a
wonderful experience in which all members of our classroom contributed.
We
have many keen builders in our classroom at the moment, which has peaked this
week with the introduction of the large pipe building blocks. The children are
experimenting with the new resource and have created amazing constructions this
week.
On
Friday we noticed that our tadpoles have started to grow legs! We were all very
excited to witness this transformation. To record the life cycle of our frogs
we are started to illustrate the stages that have already occurred (egg to
tadpole).
We
hope that you have a wonderful weekend.
Love
Miss Gilbert and Miss C
