Dear Wilkins Families,
This week we made a special effort to make others feel
happy. On Tuesday the 20th of
March it was International Happiness Day.
Here at PAC we decided to honour this day and record our reflections
upon the board in the Cafe.
If
we are happy it has added knock on effects and benefits. These include us
becoming more compassionate and feeling healthier both physically and emotionally.
We become more creative, energetic and fun to be around. Children are the same. As little human beings, the quality of their
lives is ultimately ENTIRELY determined by their emotions. So, we set off with the challenge to send
happy thoughts and gestures all week.
We
found we can be helpful when cleaning up, holding hands, helping to find someone’s drink bottle, giving a hug away, using our gentle hands in play, or
looking to see if someone is okay. This all helps to make someone feel happy.
When it is tucked up, it is sad,….when it is
moving it is happy - Sybilla and Nicholas
It
has been a positive week where by simply using the words ‘happy’ and ‘kind’
more often around the classroom, it is evident that it has changed the
environment that we are in. Give it a go
and make someone feel ‘happiness’ today.
