Mead

Dear Mead Room Families and Friends,

The Mead Room Café is now open!!

Over the past few weeks, we have been interested in cooking and making coffees! We have set up a café in our home corner as well as a play dough kitchen in the room! Everyone has been very busy baking, making coffees and serving each other! On Tuesday, we will put our practice into action and do some REAL baking – we have been reading The Gingerbread Man at group time and thought it would a great idea to make our own Gingerbread Men!

Vivienne - Hmm... a hot chocolate with marshmallows *looking at the menu*
Max - I’ll make it for you *Takes menu from Vivienne* “Thank you”

Scout - Can I have some coffee?

Ginger - I’m having a tea party!
Charlie - I make cupcakes
Quinn - Look, mine is in the oven!
Christian - I’m making a pizza

On Wednesday we explored with bubble wrap, everyone loved the texture and extremely enjoyed popping the bubbles. We wrapped bubble wrap over the end of cardboard rolls to create a stamp and began dipping them in bright colours and stamping them onto black paper.

Tom - It looks like fireworks
Jimmy - I’m mixing the colours
Zahli - I’m stamping the paints
Cody -  The colours were beautiful
Quinn - Circles, lots of circles!

Next Friday 14th July - We will be having a Teddy Bears Picnic and making Babycinos! Please bring along your favourite Teddy to join us at the picnic!

Have a wonderful weekend,
Georgia and Chelsea
