Mattingley

Dear Mattingley families and friends,
Welcome to the second week of our winter program. The children have continued their interests in painting, construction, cutting and gluing with natural materials.

The children used their fine motor skills to dip alphabet sponges into coloured paints and print the letters onto paper to create the imprints of different letters of the alphabet. The children recognised letters in their own names and each other’s. They also sounded out the letters as they sponged them onto paper and shared their thoughts with each other.
I used the letter X. Kaeshav

My letter is R. Riani
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, yellow. Hridhaan

I’m using R. Sofia
E is in my name. Didier

On Tuesday, we walked up to the big boy's school and had so much fun playing on the rainbow playground. The children explored different areas of the playground, climbing on the equipment, swinging on the swings and playing hide and seek.
The children have really enjoyed sharing their family photos in the classroom and creating new friendships, singing, dancing, playing ‘bug in a rug’ at group time, sandpit play and looking at the insects at the light table.

Next Friday, the 21st of July is Pyjama Day. Come dressed in your comfy pyjama’s!
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
