Cooper

Hi Cooper families,

Over the week we have been busy collecting leaves from around the ELC. We have found so many beautifully coloured leaves in our school environment. We have now sorted, described and classified these leaves depending on attributes such as colour and shape of the leaves. We will be using these leaves next week in some visual art and fine motor experiences.

'Jack and the Beanstalk' is currently the Cooper rooms favourite book - it is requested almost everyday at group story time! Combined with our focus on leaves, sticks and other natural materials, we have started the process of planting our own beans in the classroom. Each child will have the opportunity to plant their own bean. We will observe and document what happens to the beans over the next few weeks. Hopefully they are the same magic beans that Jack planted. We will keep you posted!

What a fabulous morning we all day on Thursday for our Princesses Tea Party! The children were bursting with excitement to celebrate Mother’s Day at our ELC with our mummies. We have been busy drawing beautiful portraits of our mums and painting and playing our flower pots. Thank you to all of the parents that attended this special morning.

Happy Birthday to Stirling R who turned 4 on Wednesday! Thank you for organising special cupcakes to share with the Cooper class.

We hope that you have a lovely weekend.

Love Miss Gilbert and Mr Richards
