Angwin

Dear Families,

We have had a super week returning to Term 2! The children have had lots to share about their holidays and we have found out so many interesting things from each other.

Jasmine shared all about her holiday to Kangaroo Island. We heard about the seals and sea lions she saw. We were interested to know how they move about on the rocks or sand. Her photo book was amazing!

Leo and Daniel L went to the zoo. We have discussed the way a map uses symbols to show us where things are.

Chloe told us all about the Easter hunt she had in her grandparents’ garden.

Billy shared his swimming certificates.

Sidney told us how he learnt to play UNO and then he taught some of his friends how to play too!

So many lovely experiences to help make special memories! That’s what holidays are all about!

This week we have had a huge interest in making aeroplanes. We have shared our skills and helped each other think about the features we need to include. Our class will be busy creating an airport with all these planes!

Laila lent Audrey many skills, showing how they could make fairy puppets at the making table.

Billy’s interest in spiders had us sharing the classic story “Aranea” by Jenny Wagener and then we have started painting our own spider’s webs at the painting easels.

We are enjoying the gorgeous Autumn weather, replanting our veggie patch with broad beans, hanging up bird feeders and we are about to try to create a pea tepee!

Miss Kim and Miss Sylvia have even started making us warm delicious soup for morning teas.

Have a great weekend.
Kind Regards,

Pip and Cass
