Chapple

This week we were look enough to go to the zoo. The weather was beautiful        and we had a great time.
The children thought about what they liked about the zoo:
Parker: The tigers were really scary and also have sharp teeth.
Isaac: I like the pandas, they eat bamboo.
Tommy: I liked the playground. It had a high slide.
Leo: I like the pandas too. They were my favourite.
Leonardo: Pandas are the animal I love in the whole wide world.
James: The boy lion roared.
Yifan: I saw the giraffe. I like it.

Where did the animals live?
Tommy: The bats live in the cliff.
Alana: The tiger lived in a cage.

How do the animals feel about living in a cage?
Liliana: They would be sad. They don’t have their own house.
Sam: They feel sad. They might be cold.
Yifan: They might cry.
We will continue to investigate why animals live in zoos. This will also link           into the children’s work on empathy.

We have continued our work on forces and made a balloon rocket.

Tommy: The balloon rocket was very quick.
Jack: It was a push because it pushed over us.
