Langley

Dear Langley Families

This week we have been busy exploring the story ‘Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes’ by Mem Fox.  We have been discussing what is similar about us and what is different.  For example, the colour of our shoes, skin and or hair.  We have been reading this story every day to help us understand more about harmony day.  In response to the book we are using our ‘ten little fingers’ to do a collective calico painting. You might see it hanging on the fence being worked on by our little artists’. We hope to hang this group painting out in the play yard soon.

We also plan to use the family photos to start looking at similarities of our families as a class.  Please if you have not brought a family photo in or emailed one please do as soon as you can.
