Chapple

Chapple Room had its own band that performed to great success in the Town Square at the end of last week. An event which missed last week’s cut off. It was so great we had to include it in this week’s round up.

Cardboard construction has continued with great enthusiasm and if you have any spare boxes we will gladly receive them.

Dancify continues to be popular and this week we learnt an island style dance.

Miss Elodie whipped up a batch of pancakes for Shrove Tuesday.

But without doubt, this week has been dominated by Clipsal. Tom D even organised road blocks in the classroom to match outside! We have our own mechanic’s workshop which has proved very successful in fixing all issues, largely by poking or hitting it with a tool.

Mikayla and Danica brought in a mantis they found and we had a great discussion on what an animal would need to live. The children had some great ideas, although I am unsure I will find the "stick Insect TV”  “Sammy” apparently needs to make him happy.

The focus on numeracy is continuing and we have looked at patterning and one to one recognition which you might wish to practise at home. Please feel free to contact us should you need an clarification on some of strategies we use.

Show and tell is every week on the same day as the original planner. Free choice will continue for Term 1 as the children get used to the organisation.
