Langley

Dear Langley families and friends,

This week we once again experienced some hot weather as I am sure you were all well aware. This meant that the children spent less time playing outdoors. To cater for the lengthy inside play time new experiences were added to our classroom environment including new building blocks, racing cars and the car mat (connection to Clipsal) and a new safari small world play space. The children have thoroughly enjoyed these experiences. When we had the chance to be outside (usually early in the morning) we engaged in some water play to help keep us all cool.

On Tuesday we participated in Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day). We were provided with a recipe, ingredients and utensils and we set to work. The children helped an educator measure out the required quantities and mix the batter before handing it to another educator to be cooked. The children thoroughly enjoyed eating the pancakes along side their fruit during at morning tea time.

This week we also welcomed three new friends to the Langley class. It has been a pleasure watching the children engage with one another and explore their new surroundings. We have noticed that the children are enjoying engaging in small group play. We look forward to watching these relationships develop further over the coming week.

REMINDERS

We would like to start displaying all of your beautiful family photos. If you have not yet provided us with a family photo we would love for you to do so, so that the children can share these with one another during our groups times and throughout the day.

We hope that you all have a lovely weekend.

From Miss Kathy, Miss Amelia, Miss Sharon, Miss Georgia and Miss Tayla
