Wilkins

Wow, what a hot end to week 2 we have had! We’ve beaten the heat with lots of water play this week - using animals in the water and running through the sprinkler.

We have continued to develop relationships in the classroom, working together in small groups at a range of experiences including play dough, role play in the home corner and building with blocks.

The children have been interested in objects that roll and move so we have been exploring concepts of cause and effect using ramps and pipes. We are looking forward to further investigating this in the coming weeks.

The children’s love of all creatures great and small has been evident with them helping to care for our centre chickens, feeding the geckos and changing the spiny leaf insects leaves. Some of the children have even been brave enough to hold and touch the spiny leaf insects!

We hope you have been staying cool and look forward to seeing you all next week.

Best wishes,

Miss Jess, Miss Ellen, Miss Courtenay, Miss Melissa and Miss Lucy
