Mattingley

Dear Mattingley families and friends,

What an action packed week we have just spent together in the Mattingley classroom. To start our week of with a bang we had our first Dancify lesson on Tuesday morning with Miss Erin.

We learnt the chipmunk dance- Clementine
We had to shake it- Mack
I love dancing- Phoebe

We saw lots of our friends stepping out of their comfort zone to learn some wonderful new moves. They learnt the whole dance, from the beginning to the end and were able to perform it together at the end of the class. It was wonderful to see all their energy and hear their excitement as they grooved the morning away. We grooved so much of our morning away with Miss Erin that we didn't make it to the library this week. We were ok with that because we had so much fun dancing.

Later in the week we went up to the Preparatory School gym for our first PE lesson. Walking through the big school grounds we had to make sure that we took care of each other and look out for moving cars in the car park. We have so many responsible friends in our classroom that we made it to the gym in no time. When we arrived and opened the door there was lots of excitement to see what Mr Barton had set up for us to use. There were what seemed like hundreds of balls for bouncing and throwing. There was the parachute for practicing playing games together and there was also an amazing obstacle course to test our balance and agility. What fun was had! We can't wait to go back next week.
