Angwin

Dear Parents,

We have had another action packed week in Angwin! The children have enjoyed continuing our journey of measuring… building tall towers, measuring them against themselves and using lots of rich language to express what they have discovered. We have had some pirates in our midst, even one with an earring! So following this interest, with pirate hats, treasure maps and even boat building has been lots of fun.

We have had our first session of Dancify, following the lead of Heidi, to learn some groovy dances.

We have been making beautiful hearts for our families and even cooking some heart biscuits to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Here are some of their reflections…
Lilah: We put in the flour
Alina: We cracked 2 eggs.
Audrey: We put in the melted butter.
Felix: We put in the sugar
Walter: We put in water because it was too dry
Alice: We mixed it together and made dough.
Oliver: Mrs Cooper rolled out the dough with a rolling pin
Daniel L: We cut out the shapes
Billy: They were love hearts
Chloe: We put them in the oven to cook
Edward: They will get very hot while they cook

Our week has finished up with some dumpling making with Wenting our Chinese teacher and Jason’s mum who has come in to share her expertise. More photos of this experience will be included next week!

Kind regards,
Pip and Coney
