Chapple

Something a little bit strange happened in the Chapple Room this week. It suddenly got very cold! An igloo and ice pool appeared. Poor Tom and Jonas started to shiver when they came out of the igloo.

We were on the look out for polar bears, but they are very tricky to spot. We made an ice home for the one we found, but sadly the next day its home had melted and he had nowhere to live.

Dancify came and we had to chance to work on our moves to the trolls song.

We worked on our social skills by acting out the story of the “Dog in the Manger.” We had some good ideas for solutions and some great acting.

We used geometric shapes to make pictures of Sydney Opera House, igloos and snowmen, also developing our fine motor skills.

Show and tell kick off this week and the children were clearly excited. They were getting used to the format, the all important listening skills and the idea of three questions.
