Dear Wilkins families and friends,
We have had a spectacular last week of Term 3!
Spring has
sprung and, thanks to Alfie, we have been examining the blossom from his tree
and creating our own paintings using plastic bottles. We also refreshed our
garden, giving it a good weed and planting some sunflower seeds - we can’t wait
for them to sprout and grow.
We have continued to practice our jumping outside
and developed our movement and balance skills using the bouncing balls.
The
children have continued their literary exploration of The Watermelon Seed book,
retelling their own versions of the book using puppets we have created.
Instruments, music and movement have continued to be a big hit with the
children creating all different types of sounds and music. We have started to
talk about quiet soft sounds and big loud sounds - its been very noisy some
days!
Thanks to everyone who joined us for Sports Day on Thursday, we have some
very quick budding athletes in our midst.
Please see below the Holiday Program for the next two
weeks and make note of any special days that apply to your child - lots of fun
experiences have been planned for the children!
Enjoy your long weekend.
Best wishes,
Ellen, Courtenay, Melissa, Chelsea and Jess
