Angwin

Dear Angwin Families and Friends,

This week we have been immersed in wonderful learning that encompass many different inquiries and experiences that we have all shared!
We have enjoyed a doctor’s talk with Stella, Walter’s mum. Stella talked to us about why we might need to go to see the doctor…

Lochlann: I had a sore throat last week
Felix: Sometimes those sticks make you choke
Ashton: If you have a sore belly they might need to look at it with an x-ray, there might even be a baby in it!
Oscar: If you have a broken leg you might need something for the pain
Oliver: I had grommets put in my ears
Stella had some wonderful questions to explain to us too…
Walter: Why does the vomit come up when you are lying down?
Chloe: What type and colour are the germs?
Felix: What do they do if you get an electric shock?

Stella shared with us ways to keep our bodies healthy… good sleep, always foods not sometimes food, drinking water, washing our hands with soap and even wearing sunscreen and hats!
A big thank you to Stella for your wonderful talk and all the doctors’ goodies!
We have been discussing why we need to read ….

William: If you take a book and read it then you learn how to read
Billy: It helps you to learn
Ryan: The more you read the more you learn
Edward: Books help us calm down
Lilah: Reading helps us to be a grown up and to learn to do things for ourselves
Daniel: Reading instructions helps me to build new models

The children enjoyed bopping away at our final Dancify concert. It was great to see some mums and dads joining in too!
In our shared learning times we have been discussing working together as a team… in our preparation for Sports Day next week.
We have also been working on an amazing paper mache volcano to go with Walter and Sammy’s dinoworld.
We have been updating our veggie patch preparing the soil for a strawberry patch and putting our fairy gardens together.
The chickens have been enjoying our attention and we have some slater hunters in our midst!
Lots of lovely fun together!
Looking forward to seeing lots of you ready to get involved with our Sports Day next Thursday!

Kind Regards,
Pip Cooper
