Wilkins

Dear Wilkins families and friends,

We welcomed some new little wiggly additions to our classroom this week - some Silk Worms. The children have been fascinated as they watch them chomp. chomp, chomp through the mulberry leaves. They have been so hungry and are growing so fast. We are eager to see what will happen next.

Christopher from the Langley room brought in some pumpkins from his fruit and vegetable shop for us to look at. Some of the children were eager to carve the pumpkin so on Thursday Miss Jess carefully carved a face out of it. The children helped to clear all the middle out of the pumpkin and then we fed the scraps to the chickens!

We have also continued our exploration of the body, role playing in the Wilkins hospital taking very good care of all our patients and creating skeletons on black paper.

Best wishes for the weekend,

Miss Ellen, Miss Courtenay, Miss Melissa and Miss Jess
