Cooper

Dear Cooper Room Families and Friends,

Welcome to the final week of the Spring Holiday Program.

I would like to thank Jo (Douglas’ mum) for organising Bambi and Gary (the goats) to visit the Cooper Room. The children loved chasing, patting and feeding them around the class.

Alonso: Doggy
Lucas: They’re drinking milk
Poppy: Oh no, they’re eating our plants
Archie: So soft

During the week on our walk to the rainbow playground, the children’s interest sparked when they noticed sand piles and machinery. The bobcat was scooping up the sand and transporting it to the school oval.

Lucas: It’s an excavator
Luci: Where are they going to put all the sand?

In the classroom, the children have taken particular interest in cutting, pasting and collage making. Cutting encourages children to develop fine motor skills to improve the ability to use their hand, finger and thumb in a co-ordinated and controlled manner.

Thank you to Miss Beth for bringing in her Pixie Harp. It was a beautifully carved instrument that played the most relaxing and calming music. Miss Beth played ABC, Old McDonald, Twinkle, twinkle little star and the children happily sang along to the songs.

Have a lovely weekend and see you all next week for a busy Term 4.

Love Miss C and the Cooper Team
