Mattingley

Dear Mattingley families and friends,

This week in the Mattingley Room the children have been exploring their fine motor skills through threading coloured beads onto string.

We have also been busy creating clothing for little cardboard bodies using the playdough and natural materials. This was inspired by Clementine as she shared her experience from home of creating clothing out of playdough for her dolls. Her friends really enjoyed this experience.

On Tuesday, we walked up to the Big School to play on the Rainbow Playground with the Cooper and Mead Rooms. The children enjoyed the water play, climbing on the equipment and making new friendships with the children from the other classes.

On the way back to the ELC, the children were fascinated with the piles of sand and the machinery that were at work in the school grounds. They stood on the footpath watching the bobcat pick up piles of sand and communicated amongst themselves with excitement.

We have had so much fun these holidays and we look forward to the start of Term 4 next week.

Enjoy your weekend,

Liana and Emma
