Chapple

Dear Chapple families and friends,

This week we wandered around the school grounds, visiting the Preparatory School playground. A highlight being the spider web climbing frame and running roller. We also engaged in group activities on the tennis court, playing ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf, Duck Duck Goose and participating in an array of running races’.

The beginning of the weeks’ beautiful weather gave the children the opportunity to jump and splash in the outside water fountain. They filled up buckets of water pouring it all over themselves. They created a slippery dip water slide on the outside playground equipment!

We created delicious crepes with Miss Elodie on Tuesday. Mixing all the ingredients into a mixing bowl; flour, eggs, salt, sugar, milk, butter and vanilla essence. They each took turns! The most important part was eating them!!!

Our beautiful weather quickly turned to horrible rain on Wednesday. We discussed the possible thunderstorms that were going to approach late afternoon. We decided to use an array of musical instruments to create our own thunderstorm. We started with using quiet rain noises with shakers and as the storm became louder we introduced tapping sticks, drums, tambourine, triangles and symbols. This was a great group experience engaging in music and sounds together.

We watched The Magic School Bus movie and ate salty buttery popcorn on the last day of Holidays. What a fantastic way to end Term 3!

We hope you have a lovely weekend!
