Wilkins

Dear Wilkins Families

This week we have had a bit of a classroom reshuffle and reinvigorated our block corner to build on our Wilkins city. Miss Georgia has made 'kids on the block' with the children's pictures and the children have enjoyed using their characters, and their friends, in their play. Through block play, the children have been experimenting with maths concepts as they stack, measure, sort, order and balance the different natural pieces of wood.

We have also been building with the magnetic construction set, caring for and observing changes in our frogs and geckos, examining how our eyes are the same and different, developing fine motor skills in the home corner, problem solving with puzzles, working together to match animal families and further exploring our interest in firefighting with a fireman visit on Friday.

We would like to thank you for a wonderful term one. It is so wonderful to see the children settled in to our classroom and developing lovely relationships with their peers and teachers.

Best wishes,
The Wilkins staff
