Edgerley

Dear Edgerley Families and Friends,

This week has been another welcome and fun break for the children from the rigours of term.

It was great to see the Edgerley Class wear their loud and colourful shirts on Tuesday. It made for a fun start to the week after the long weekend.

What is a week during the holidays without a visit to the ‘Rainbow Playground’? The Edgerley class were challenging each other to see how high and long they could go on the swings. The great thing to see was they each took turns to rise to the challenge.

On our Movie Day every child had popcorn to munch on while sitting back to enjoy the movie. We set up the Edgerley room with the big screen, invited Angwin and Chapple over and watched Despicable Me 2. There was lots of laughter especially when there are ‘Minions’ involved.

Unfortunately the Thursday sports sessions was cancelled, so we enjoyed some free play activities.

Wacky Sports Day. What a wacky day that was. We started with ‘Pass the Balloon’ race. The children got the hang of it really quickly and were able to pass the balloon well between their knees. The next game they played was ‘Toss the Rubber Pig or Hippo’. The children had to try and land a rubber pig or hippo on top of a box. Some were very close but only Regan was successful, good throw Regan. We continued with other games like ‘Pick up the Cotton Ball with a Straw’ and ‘Put the Crown on the Teacher’. There were some dizzy efforts with that one.

We hope you all have a great weekend and we will see you next week.

Thanks, Mr Ty and Mrs Murdy
