Angwin

Dear families and friends,

This week the children have extended on their learning from last week. They continued with discussions about Anzac Day recalling how they had celebrated the special day and Oliver brought in a special story which he shared with the class. We made Anzac cookies by following a recipe and using team work, they were delicious. We also made fish, shark and eagles in a bottle having been inspired by the jellyfish in a bottle experiment from last week.

Perhaps the most heart-warming moment of the week was the release of two Monarch butterflies which we had nurtured since caterpillars. The children watched the butterflies come from the vase and fly through the ELC jungle area and over the fence. Be sure to keep an eye out for them.

A big thank you to Wenting for all her support these holidays, we have even been learning the days of the week in Chinese. We welcome Mrs Cooper back next week and Teddy’s Daddy, Perry who will be making eagle wings with the children on Tuesday.

Love Miss Bowden and Wenting
