Cooper

Dear Cooper Families

We are fast approaching the end of Term 1 of our ELC term. We have almost finished all of our beautiful Term 1 self-portraits which have been displayed on the back wall next to the family portraits. There are children’s dialogue taken while the children were drawing their picture. Please take some time to have a look and admire your child’s wonderful work. The children have been taking great care in creating these images. It is interesting to see the growth and development through each terms self-portrait.

The past week we have introduced yoga and relaxation time after our lunch instead of our afternoon naps. This gives the children some down-time to rest their bodies and minds before the next stage of our day. The Cooper children are responding well to this change in routine and enjoy trying our new yoga poses.

This week we have been learning how to play the game “What’s the time Mr Wolf”. The children are developing numeracy skills such as their knowledge of numbers and counting as well as taking turns (being Mr wolf is very popular in the Cooper room).

Grandies day was a great success! The children were buzzing with excitement all morning in anticipation of the concert and showing their Grandies the ELC. Thank you to all of the Grandies that came in for the special event, we hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did. A special thank you to the parents that helped out on the day, it is much appreciated.

We hope that you have a lovely weekend.

Love Miss Gilbert and Miss C
