Langley

Dear Langley Families and Friends,

This week we have continued learning about the weather, we have incorporated a weather chart into our morning meetings. The children look out of the window and discuss what they think the weather looks like.

The Langley children are still very interested in experimenting with light by viewing the lava lamps and the bits and pieces at the light table. Miss Renee introduced a sensory art experience on a clear piece of perspex, some children created collaborative paintings on each side of the perspex using their fingers to wipe the paint away and create light.

Pheobe – ”Painting, bit here. Pink hand.”
Alannah  - “I did a circle. Messy hands!”

While outside this week the children have noticed the loud planes flying over the ELC. We have watched, discussed and admired the planes – climbing on top of the playground, laying on our back and peering through windows. The children have enjoyed mimicking the planes with their bodies while Miss Emily sang aeroplane songs.

We have also been talking about how to respect our environment. The children have shown an understanding after discussions, we don’t draw on furniture, rip books or pull out plants. It was nice to see some of the children cleaning the crayon on the furniture.

Have a lovely weekend,
See you next week!

Miss Emily, Miss Renee, Miss Brooke and Miss Jen.
