Wilkins

Dear Wilkins families,

We have had a wonderful week filled with fun activities and special visits. On Monday the ELC came together in the Town Square to celebrate Chinese New Year. The Prince Alfred College Year 12 international students dressed and did the traditional lion dance. This dance represents good luck, long life and wisdom. Following our special show Miss Kym in the kitchen made us some Chinese noodles.

On Tuesday, Wilkins and Langley classes joined to celebrate Shrove Tuesday by making pancakes. Shrove Tuesday is the last day of indulgence before Christians traditionally move into a 40-day period of abstinence that marks the lead up to Easter. Mrs Jess brought in her fry pan and we had a lovely picnic.

Finally Thursday, we had a visit from Monster Slam who are showing at the Adelaide Showgrounds. The children were given an up close look at the truck and Rusty told us how important it is to wear our seatbelts!

We have been really enjoying getting to know all the new families and our new Wilkins friends. We wish you a happy weekend!
