Chapple

Dear Chapple Families

Wow! What a week, how do we fit it all in?

Monday we had a visit from some senior boys to perform a great Lion Dance to celebrate Chinese New Year. Then came Shrove Tuesday and Mrs Shakespear’s lovely pancakes and Mr Charlwood’s not so nice ones made with water and eggs shells. This made us think a little bit about why we need to listen carefully and follow instructions. Wednesday was bones day and you must check out Banjo’s amazing observational drawing of a skeleton. And then the Monster Truck came! We might need a rest next week!

On the subject of rest, please can the children leave their sleep toys at home. They don’t use them anymore and it makes for difficulties if they go missing or touched by other children. We appreciate some of the children are finding it difficult transitioning to no sleep in the afternoon and may be “crashing” on the way home. We are having a session of quiet time and yoga after lunch, in an effort to help.

Some really interesting show and tells are coming. Thanks. It makes it easier on the children if they are varied. If you can limit it to one item that would be great as the other children find it difficult to listen through a long presentation and we often have six or seven to get through.
