Chapple

Dear Chapple Families

It has been great to see how the children have settled in to their new routines and expectations. We have encouraged their independence and they have begun to step up.

We have put up some of the work they have done on the walls, so you can get a flavour of what we have been doing. We have looked to follow on from the children’s questions and interests in an emerging curriculum within our IB framework. The children are encouraged to take part in making their displays, so consequently the cutting and sticking and photography skills may not be perfect.

One of the areas we looked at this week was Our Natural World and we went in search of how we know it had rained and this led us on to making tracks.

Please email the Chapple Room mcharlwood@staff.pac.edu.au if the children at any time make connections with their learning at home. It is great to hear examples. This includes any items of interest that we can follow up at school from home.

Monday is Chinese New Year and the children are welcome to come dressed in Red- the lucky colour, or  Chinese patterns or clothes as we will be having a Chinese Lion dance in the morning.
