Mattingley

Dear Mattingley Families and Friends,

We would like to say a big welcome back to our good friend Roy. His friends were all very excited to see him back at ELC. It sounds like he had a fantastic time away in China with his family.

This week Ashton shared with his friends his love for animals that live in the ocean, especially the shark. This lead to a group discussion on the different types of animals that live in the ocean.

Some sharks, fish and turtles- Lochlann

Whales- Ashton

Dolphin- Thomas

Sea horse and sea stars- Chloe

Sea snake- Samuel

Crabs- Edward

Octopus- Leo

Scuba divers- Felix

A shark- Josh S

Together with the help of Mrs Rocca the children created an ocean, adding all the animals that they had thought of. Through this experience the children have been sharing their ideas and memories of the places that they have visited and animals that they have seen. If you have any photos at home of a time when you have been to the ocean or have seen any ocean animals we would love you to bring them in to share. We will continue this exploration into next week and are looking forward to the underwater journey that the children take us on.
