Wilkins

Dear Wilkins families,
This week we have been busy painting and creating artwork using acrylic paints and our wonderful imaginations to display on our art gallery wall.

The Wilkins hair salon has also given us the opportunity to style each other’s hair including the teachers! We had some crazy looking hair. Through this shared experience the children practiced their turn taking and communication skills and building friendships.
Our favourite story this week has been the gingerbread man. We have been busy role playing the story using puppets. We have also been discussing how we could make our own gingerbread men and what ingredients we could use for the eyes, nose and mouth when we have the chance to bake them during the holidays.  Through shared group times we have been doing lots of singing and dancing where the children have showed much enjoyment interacting with one another.

As we know it was the lovely Miss Jess’s last day today before she embarks on another adventure of parenthood. We will really miss her but cannot wait for her to visit so we can meet the baby. We wish her all the best.
Lastly, in the lead up to Christmas and to help make our classroom look merry, if anyone has tinsel or Christmas decorations that you would like to donate, they would be much appreciated!

Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Amy, Miss Karla and Miss Jess
