Mead

Dear Mead Room families,

Three more 4 year olds!  This week we celebrated the monumental birthdays of Stephen,  Angus and Sterling.  Happy 4th Birthday!  These happy celebrations are so exciting!

During our morning meetings we have been investigating Celebrations and discovered a few different celebrations that we know -

Sterling – A celebration can be Christmas

Bernie – It has normal decorations and a star on top of the tree and the presents go around at the bottom of the tree.

Isaac – Easter.  Easter Eggs were all over my house

Lachlan – When you put all the things together it turns into a huge celebration

We found that to celebrate something can mean that you do something special for an important event.

In the ELC this week we participated in a solemn celebration when we observed Remembrance Day.  We remembered the people who went to a far away land so that we can live peacefully and safely today.  We talked about the beautiful red poppy flowers that popped up all over the muddy fields of France – and we created our own poppies to share.

Be safe and have a great weekend,

Melissa and Renee
