Mattingley

Dear Mattingley families and friends,

We have been very caring friends in the Mattingley room this week looking after our sea creatures in our ocean cove. The children have been sharing their extensive knowledge of the different animals and what they need to survive;

“This polar bear doesn’t live in the ocean it needs to be really cold. It needs snow like ice bergs!” William

“These animals will eat little fish. They eat meat so they are carnivores!” Joe

Later in the week we added sand to our ocean cove which lead the children to think about what animals would live in the sand;

“A crab lives on sand sometimes!” Isabella

“We play in the sand at the beach!” Sujay

We will continue to explore the ocean and all the beautiful animals that live in the deep blue as well as on the land. The children are becoming experts and are loving sharing their knowledge with each other and visitors to our classroom.

On Wednesday we celebrated Harvey’s 4th birthday with him and his Mum, Michelle. They bought in a yummy chocolate cake with lots of smarties on top for us to share. Happy Birthday Harvey we hope you had a lovely day and thank you for sharing your delicious cake with us all.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend,

The Mattingley Team
