Mead

Dear Mead Room families,
Three more 4 year olds!  We’ve celebrated more birthdays!  Happy 4th Birthday to Cooper, Olive and Ned.

We celebrated the return of Harry Hall from Hawaii and Loukas from Queensland  and more friends have brought their family photos in and shared some special information with the rest of their Mead Room friends.

The discussion soon turned to celebrations that families observe, such as weddings -

Ned – Mim got married at the beach.  Seb carried the rings.

Clem – I held some flowers and my big friend held flowers too.  I went somewhere special in Bali.

Sage – I went to a wedding.  I had to wear some work clothes like Daddy, and I wear a bowtie.

Harry – We went away and the wedding was away.

There was special food, and usually a cake, and people generally wear fancy clothes too!

We made sand playdough which felt ‘strange and lumpy’ (Doane) and ‘rough’ (Isaac) and ‘bumpy’ (Oliver), all at the same time.  We trekked up to PE and had fantastic experiences with the parachute and then Harrison found numbers on a meter on the way back.  We had a morning tea picnic on the back oval, explored natural materials in the Mead Room (creating patterns and structures with moonstones and wooden offcuts), and followed plans created by Lachlan to enable everyone to independently create their own mobilo car.

Be safe and have a great weekend,

Melissa and Renee
