Lest We Forget

We made poppies and discussed the importance of Remembrance Day. It was a great way to celebrate and remember those we’ve lost.

‘Do you know my dad was in a war and he died, but then he came alive again.’ Agoth

‘Only Jesus can do that.’ Miles

‘Do you know I know someone called Jimmy who was in a war who was very old and one time he got shot, two times, but he’s still alive. And him was one of my great, great grandpas.’ Patrick

‘Well my pa’s great uncle got died, has already gone to heaven. He was in ANZAC Day in a plane. He went to a dying place where he went to learn to die. He wished to get dead ‘cause his mum was up there first so he went to a place to where you can get dead and he got killed by one of those guns.’ Spencer

‘Did you know that my grandpa goed in the war, but he didn’t die.’ Harry A

‘You know my great uncle died because he went in the dying place and him got shot.’ Patrick

‘My great, great, great uncle died in the war.’ Gabby

We are practicing for the Nativity Concert next week. We can’t wait to share it with you! Please make sure your child is at school no later than 10am on Friday. This will allow us time to get dressed, have photos and for you to secure your seat in the audience. If you plan on taking your child home after the concert, don’t forget to sign them out and return their costumes first!
