Wilkins

Dear Wilkins Families,

A big welcome to all the new families who have just started with us this year.  It has been such a nice week to get to know all our new children and watch them enjoy their new play space. They all have settled well into our environment and we look forward to an exciting year ahead.

We have started our week with stories about starting school.  In the classroom, we have begun emphasising where our belongings are, what belongings we have and who we belong too.  We have begun to explore our room and where things live when they are not being used. We have started to explore in depth what each play space in the classroom is used for, so that we can help each of us learn safely together.

Just a few quick reminders

Firstly, can families try to arrive before 9am where possible. We have our morning meeting time at 9:15am where we all come together to learn about each other and explore things as a group.

Secondly, can we all remember to name all our belongs even our shoes and socks.  We will do our best to keep things in place but we have many shoes that are the same brand or style, and it can get quiet confusing for us and the children.

Lastly, please return your Seesaw permission slip and log onto Seesaw as soon as possible. We are hoping to consolidate our communication to one platform so paper and this blog will be gone soon.  We will be relying on Seesaw for our communication means too.  If you have any questions about Seesaw please don’t hesitate to ask a teacher.

Enjoy your lovely warm weekend
