Angwin

Dear Families,

We have had a lovely first week in Angwin. The children have settled well and have enjoyed exploring the room and catching up with friends who have been away on holidays.

The children have enjoyed sharing their holiday happenings with each other during our show and tell sessions this week. Each child has had a turn to come out the front and share their news with the class. This will happen each week, with different topics for them to talk about. It is so important for us to have links between home and kindy, sharing what is happening in their worlds. Please keep us up to date if family are away travelling or other changes so we can talk with the children and know them well.

A big thank you to the families who have already created lovely treasure boxes. It has been so great to get to know more about each of the children. This will be our focus for sharing next week, so for those still creating, please bring in a treasure box next week.

The children have made some amazing towers in the block corner and with Duplo, so I’m sure there will be some measuring experiences to enjoy over the next few weeks!

A small group of our friends found a beautiful ripe tomato grown in our kindy veggie patch. Together we cut it up and looked at what was inside. The best part was sampling the juicy tomato! We will work on planting some different veggies as the seasons change!

Have a happy weekend!
Kind Regards,
Pip and Liana
