Mead

Dear Mead Room families and friends,

We have had a productive first week of the summer school holidays making Christmas tree decorations, keeping cool with water play and cooking!

On Wednesday we made some delicious White Christmas! Everyone enjoyed taking turns in pouring in the ingredients and mixing it all together. We can’t wait to do another cooking experience next week!

Grace-Marie: I liked putting the rice bubbles inside it
Elsie: Stirring it was fun!
Zara: It tasted like chocolate and cherries and marshmallows
Charlie:  I liked putting it in the patty pans

Tuesday was extremely hot but we managed to keep cool in the creek with the water fountain and we also made our very own water fountain with the hose! Vivienne and Ronnie danced in the “rain” and we even spotted a rainbow!

Miss Beth brought in her guitar and we enjoyed singing along to Christmas songs as she played her guitar. On Thursday she brought in her harp - so instead of listening to the CD player for rest and relaxation, we listened to Miss Beth play the harp! It was very relaxing! We look forward to more musical days playing different instruments, singing and dancing!

And lastly, some very exciting news - one of our chicks from the Living Eggs Program has started to lay eggs! On Tuesday we found a tiny egg amongst the hay! We have collected an egg every day since!

Have a wonderful weekend,
Miss Boler and Miss Beth
