Chapple

Welcome to Santa’s Workshop! When entering the room, embracing the Christmas spirit is contagious. The Chapple Elf’s have been busy decorating and colouring in candy canes and Christmas ribbons, and wrapping pretend presents to place under our Christmas tree. Mrs Kaur, one of Santa’s busy senior Elf’s worked very hard on the beautiful entrance!

The children worked together in adding ingredients for our Christmas angel cookies! Cooking is a practical experience that furthers their cognitive and motor skills. They absolutely loved mixing the ingredients together and rolling out and shaping the dough with our angel cutters. Their favourite part was eating the delicious cookies!

We finished the week by watching the ‘Elf’ and indulging in popcorn. We couldn’t have chosen a more fitting movie. The Chapple Elf’s were able to relate to the Elf’s in the movie and it gave us lots of ideas for our Santa’s workshop.

We hope you have a lovely weekend!
