Mattingley

Dear Mattingley families and friends,

Welcome to the first week of our summer holiday program. As it is coming closer to Christmas, the children have been very busy and engaged in creating various Christmas crafts such as threading beads to create little decorations, snowmen finger painting, writing and decorating Christmas cards and creating baubles for our Christmas tree in the classroom. It is so lovely to see the children engaged in their craft activities and getting into the Christmas spirit.

On Monday morning, we walked up to the Preparatory School oval and had our morning tea picnic under the beautiful trees. The children were very excited to be in a different environment and ate their fruit in small groups. After morning tea, the children had running races on the oval and played duck, duck, goose. They all had so much fun!

On Wednesday, the children made a White Christmas slice with Miss Kerry. They took turns in pouring in the ingredients and stirring the mixture. The children really enjoyed this experience and ate their delicious slice for afternoon tea.

We hope you have a lovely weekend,

Liana and Kerry
