Cooper

Hi Cooper families,

We have still been on the hunt this week for creepy crawlies both inside and outside the ELC. We have such a keen interest in insects that we have to allow an extra 10 minutes journey time everywhere we go! We have been starting to collect some of the insects and adding them to our Inquiry table into insects.

We have continued our group rainbow creation this week. Thank you to all of the children/families who brought in small objects to add to our visual art experience. Orange was the colour of this week, which is the second colour on our rainbow.

On Tuesday many of the children participated in yet another colour mixing experience. We started with 2 lots of playdough which the children identified as “yellow” and “blue”. Each of the children started with one small ball of each colour and was asked to mix them together. Slowly, slowly the playdough began to change colour … and turn green! The children had a blast developing their fine motor skills through this sensory experience.

We have been practicing very hard in preparation for our Nativity performance in 2 weeks. The songs that we are singing are “When Santa Got Stuck Up the Chimney” and “Feliz Navidad”. We are slowly becoming more confident in singing these songs as the weeks go by. I am sure we will be well prepared and sing the house down on the day. If you have not RSVP’d please do so either via email or returning the slip.
